MRS. VIRGINIA CARTER
Mrs. Virginia Carter, 37, wife of Floyd Ray Carter died at her home, 1826 South Beacon at 9:40 a.m. Sunday. She had been ill for several months.
Mrs Carter was born in Pettis County, May 25, 1919, daughter of Grover C. and Emma Zoe Renno. She lived all of her life in Pettis County, residing in Sedalia of recent years. She graduated from the Houstonia High School with the class of 1936.
She was married at Wheatland, MO, June 17, 1937 to Floyd Ray Carter.
Mrs. Carter was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Ray Carter, her father G.C. Renno, 1215 South Quincy, her mother, Emma Zoe Schmidt, 1520 South Osage; two sisters Mrs. Mary Boone, 1215 South Quincy, Mrs Austin VanBuskirk, Marshall; one brother, Grover W. Renno of Rt. 3, Sedalia. Several nieces and nephews also survive, one of whom Patricia Ann Renno, 10, has resided in the Carter home.
Funeral services will be held at the Ewing Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. L.C. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
