Harry Keeton, Pioneer, Passes
Harry Alpheus Keeton, a resident of Edmonds for the past 25 years, passed away at his home on January 11 at 10:45 p.m., after a four-months' illness. Private funeral services were held Wednesday evening, January 16, at 6:30, at the Washelli Chapel, under the direction of the Swedberg Undertaking Company. Mr. Keeton was born in Ohio on March 12, 1874. The family came West in 1878 and settled at Spangle, Spokane County. In 1898 he came to Seattle where he lived for 25 years, before coming to Edmonds where he operated a meat market for 21 years. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; a brother, L.S. Keeton of North Edmonds; and two sisters, Mrs. W.H. Murphy and Mrs. F.A. Urban, both of Los Angeles, Calif.
