Adolphus F. Fox, 83, of Rockville, and formerly of McKaig, died yesterday in Montgomery General Hospital. He and his wife, Mrs. Lillie I. Fox, had been married for 63 years.
Mr. Fox was born in Mount Zion, a son of the late Henry C. and Sarah Poole Fox. He was a member of Mount Zion Methodist Church at McKaig.
Surviving are his wife and two sons, Henry J. Fox of Yellow Springs and Jesse A. Fox of Cedar Grove; five daughters: Mrs. Mary Rhoderick of Taylorsville, Mrs. Alma R. Keyser of Mt. Zion, Mrs. Hilda H. Haugh of Urbana, Mrs. Lenora A. Twenty of Frederick and Mrs. Mildred Poole of Damascus; 32 grandchildren; 89 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Julia Pittinger.
Friends may call today after 7 p.m. at the Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home in Damascus, where services will be Friday at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Methodist Cemetery.
