Margaret E Bookwalter was born in Redbank Twp, Clarion County, PA to Joshua & Cathrin (Allshouse) Buckwalter/Bookwalter. She is found on the 1860 Census of Redbank, Clarion, PA. She was married to Henry Linn in 1873 (location unknown). She was the mother of Harry Linn, Oliver Clay Linn, Martin Elder Linn, Bertha Linn, Ross Elwood Linn, Ralph Ray Linn, Earl Cleveland Linn, Thomas Edwin Linn & Inez Linn.

***Three of Margaret's brothers (and one uncle) fought in the Civil War for the Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, 105th Regiment, Company C out of New Bethlehem, Clarion County, PA. Through obtaining their pension files, I learned that the Bookwalter family had some sort of discrepancy about their surname. Out of the 10 children that Joshua & Cathrin had, four went by BOOKWALTER, one went by BERKWATER, Margaret thought her surname was BERK... I haven't tracked down the other four children as of yet.
