Josephine "Terry" Baggenstoss, 73
Albany
April 7, 1937-July 22, 2010

The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Josephine "Terry" Baggenstoss, age 73, of Albany will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 26 at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Terry died July 22, 2010 in her home surrounded by family. There will be a visitation from 48:00 PM Sunday and again after 1000 AM Monday at the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Albany.

Born April 7, 1937 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Elmore and Orilla (Downer) Wakefield; she was later baptized Theresa Josephine. She spent her youth in Massachusetts and then Kennebunkport, Maine. She attained the rank of Airmen Second Class serving in the U.S. Air Force. While stationed in Shreveport, Louisiana she met John (Jack) Baggenstoss, also serving in the U.S. Air Force; and they married on October 3, 1958. Terry raised her family wherever the military planted them—Minot, North Dakota; Tucson, Arizona; Great Falls, Montana; eventually setting in Albany.

Terry faced life's challenges and her battle with cancer with a steadfast faith and resolute determination to not surrender. She took pride in her and Jack's military service; found satisfaction in a family well-raised and joy with her grandchildren. With practical and frugal spirit she lived "green" before green was a watch word. She re-made, reused and reinvented providing for her family with the tools and materials at hand. She carried that stewardship attitude to the establishment of Mother Seton's Store for the benefit of the church and the community. Bowling, fishing, a variety of crafts and handiwork, a Twins game, good books and vintage movies were her simple pleasures and indulgences.

Her life is celebrated and her memory cherished by her husband, John Baggenstoss of Albany, MN; daughters, Sheila (Dean) Mitchell of Albany, MN, Rose Baggenstoss of Albany, MN, Shirley (John) Kockler of Lacrosse, Wisconsin, Barbara (Donald) Thompson of Hayfield, MN; son, John Baggenstoss, Jr. of Bismarck, North Dakota; six grandchildren, Paul Mitchell, Alex Mitchell, Alyssa Kockler, Taylor, Kockler, Brynie Baggenstoss, Christopher Thompson; sister, Jean (Bob) Kellerman; and brothers, Elmore, Donald, Harold, Kenneth, Gerald and Stephen Wakefield.

God's Grace reunites Terry with all her parents, Elmore and Orilla Wakefield and Vernon (Jim) and Barbara (Tutz) Baggenstoss; three infant siblings; and grandson, David James Thompson.
