Services for Alma Arbuckle Sahner, 83, Brownsburg, formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida, will be Wednesday, December 28 at 2 p.m. in Jones & Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Rev. Larry Bellville will officiate, and burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery, Inc. The daughter of Sylvester and Merci (Marsh) DeLong, she was born May 27, 1900 in Marion County. She died Monday, December 26 in St. Vincent's Hospital Stress Center, Indianapolis. Mrs. Sahner, a resident of Brownsburg since February moved from St. Petersburg, Florida, where she lived for 17 years. She had been a telephone operator at Colonial Dodge dealership in St. Petersburg, and was employed at the former Presto-Lite Co, Indianapolis, from 1950 to 1955. She and her husband owned and operated the Arbuckle Motel at Plainfield for several years. She was a member of Central Christian Church and attended the Calvary Foursquare Christian Church, both in St. Petersburg. Surviving are daughter, Jeane Neal, Brownsburg; step daughters, Virginia Lang and Janice Philpot, both of Florida; stepson, Bill Burgoyne, Florida; sister, Madeline Cook, Indianapolis; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her son, Bill Arbuckle preceded her in death.
