Mrs. Amelia Bergman, 84, died Monday afternoon at her home in Norfolk. She was born Feb. 17, 1852 at Ixonia Center, Wisconsin. There were 2 groups of settlers from Wisconsin to Norfolk. The first one in 1866 and she came with in the second group in 1867. When she came she settled on her father's homestead on the south side of Elkhorn river. She married August Bergman a Civil War Veteran on Feb. 20, 1871. They had 8 children with 6 of them surviving. She made her home in Norfolk for the past 22 years.
She was survived by 3 daughters, 3 sons, 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 half-sister, 1 brother, and 1 half-brother.
