MR. JOHN DALLAS BARNES, the beloved son of the late Mrs. Clyde Barnes and Mr. General Barnes, was born in Lucama, Wilson County, North Carolina.
"LIL BUDDIE" as he was called by all who loved and knew him, was educated in the Wilson County Schools System. After completing High School, "LIL BUDDIE" enlisted in the United States Army and served for four years. Upon completion of his services in the Army, "LIL BUDDIE" relocated to New York City with his family and was a Teacher in the New York City School System for many of years. "LIL BUDDIE" enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved music, dancing and eating home cooked meals with his family and friends. "LIL BUDDIE" was a kind and loving person, shared what ever he had with his family and friends, always with a smile on his face.
"LIL BUDDIE" made numerous of friends wherever he went and he
will be truly missed by all who loved and knew him.
John leaves to cherish his memories: two brothers~ Mr. Darthur and Reverend Wiley Barnes; four sisters~ Mrs. Ruth Boykin, Mrs. Lucy Allen, Mrs. Odessa Boykin and Mrs. Mildred Boykin; one sister-in-law; four brothers-in-law; uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
