Rudolph Valentino "Rudy" "Val" Aikens; 85; of Atlantic City, passed away Wednesday. Born in Atlantic City, he was a lifelong resident.

Rudy was known for his bicycle riding, walking, helping the church and the community in many capacities, telling jokes and keeping everyone laughing and happy.

He was a World War II Army veteran, receiving his honorable discharge, and retired from the FAA after over 33 years of service working on the jet fuel farm. He had also been a waiter at the Dennis Hotel for many years.

He was predeceased by so many family and friends that the list would go on forever. He was survived by his loving wife; his daughters; 14 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. In addition, he was survived by a host of friends.

Services in the Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Blvd., Atlantic City. Burial in Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery.
