Diana K. Cooper, age 98, of Silver Spring, Maryland, formerly of Marlinton, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at her home in Leisure World, Silver Spring, Maryland., after being bedridden for several months following a recent illness and hospital stay.

Mrs. Cooper was the widow of the late Adolph E. Cooper, longtime attorney in Marlinton, who died in 1981. She lived in Marlinton from 1933 until 1985. She was active in the Marlinton Woman's Club, was a member and Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, and worked on the restoration of the railroad.

Surviving are her daughter, Doris Ella Lustine, of Silver Spring, and son, Daniel Cooper, of Del Ray Beach, Florida, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband and brother, Leon Kronick, of Boca Raton, Florida.

Funeral service was held Sunday, February 18, at Adas Israel Congregation in Washington, D.C., with burial in Adas Israel Cemetery.
