Mrs. Jerry Fonda
BETHANY CENTER RD — Mrs. Jennie Wilkinson Fonda, 87, widow of Jerry Fonda, died at her home on the Bethany Center Rd. at 3:30 a.m. Sunday (April 25, 1954). She had been ill two days.
Mrs. Fonda was born in Byron on April 5, 1867, the daughter of the late Elon and Libby Foster Wilkinson. She had been a resident of Bethany 53 years.
Mrs. Fonda was a member of the West Greece Baptist Church for over 70 years, an honorary member of Bethany Grange, the Woman’s Relief Corps and Pomona Grange.
Surviving are three sons, Budd G. and Walter F. of the Bethany Center Rd. and Harry D. Crane of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Joan, Jane, Gilbert and Donald Fonda; Floyd Crane of Corfu, and Harry D. Crane Jr., of Phoenix and Mrs. Elsie Mann of California, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the H. E. Turner Mortuary in Batavia, with the Rev. Walter Schaeffer of the East Bethany Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Reeds Cemetery in Canandaigua. Friends may call, at the Mortuary.
