Artist. He was a printer, designer, writer and socialist. His company Morris and Co. was noted for its stained glass, which can be seen in many churches across England. His greatest achievement as a designer was in the fields of textiles and wallpapers. In 1890 he founded the Kelmscott press, designing three types of prefaces for the press.
