Lonaconing - Mary J. (Thomas) Andrews, 92, formerly of Lonaconing, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at the Ashtabulan County Nursing Home, Kingsville, Ohio.
Mary was born July 22, 1915, in Moscow, the daughter of the late William and Bessie (Muir) Thomas. Joseph W. Andrews, her husband of 60 years, preceded her in death in 1994. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Cecil and Gilbert Thomas. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed nothing more than a family gathering that gave her a reason to cook for days preparing. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Sarai of Ashtabula; her son, Raymond W. and wife Sandy Anrews of LaVale. She is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a special cousin, Margaret McVicker of Barton. At Mary's request, she was cremated. Arrangements were made by the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., (eichhorn-mckenziefh.com) Lonaconing.The family will hold a private graveside service at Laurel Hill Cemetery, in Moscow Mills, at a later date.
