DAY, BEATRICE K. GRODEMAN -- age 92, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 23, 2013. She was a member of Tekoa Valley Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her parents, Harlie and Winnie Keener; husbands, Wilbur R. Grodeman and Homer Day; son Bob Grodeman; sister Elizabeth Keener Buckley; brother and sister-in-law Jack and Gertrude Keener and nephew, Michael Keener. Survived by son Wilbur E. Grodeman; granddaughters Kristy Hunt and Tammy Lackovic; grandson, Scott Grodeman, seven great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Mitchell and Margie Keener; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, 2300 Adair Drive Knoxville, TN 37918. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Highway, Alcoa, TN for a graveside service, Rev. Ron Russell officiating.
