Mrs. Cedie Timmons Curtiss, a former resident of Waverly, died Tuesday, July 28, in Haven, Kas., at the age of 92 years.
Deceased was born in North Carolina, February 1, 1867m, the daughter of the late William and Lucinda Burns Timmons.
In 1886 she was married to Albert Burnett Curtiss. Soon after their marriage they bought the Salter home and farm north of Waverly, where they lived until 1904, when they moved to Lawrence, Kas., after selling their farm to Mr. Tomb, of Woodford County. They later moved to Meta, Mo., where Mr. Curtiss died December 26,1921.
Mrs. Curtiss is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bessie McLaughlin, of Haven, Kas.; three sons, Otis, Jesse and John Timmons, all of Waverly; and three sisters, Mrs. Della Mitchell of Waverly, Mrs. Martha Sevier of Casper, Wyo., and Mrs. Thursie Emmons, of Canada.
A daughter, Helen, wife of Dr. S. W. Fleming of Palm Beach, Fla., preceded Mrs. Curtiss in death in 1943, and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Jolly, in 1955.
The body arrived Wednesday evening at the Neece Funeral Home in Waverly, where funeral services were held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Robert Kater, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating.
Burial was in East cemetery.
