Fred Copeland, 68, a Blytheville business man, died Thursday in the Chickasawba Hospital, Blytheville, Arkansas. He was born in Grand Chain, Illinois, son of John David and Georgia Anne Reese Copeland, and lived in Blytheville most of his life.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Charlene Cothren Copeland; One son, Don Copeland of Kansas City; one daughter, Mrs. Jane Smith of Memphis; two brothers, J. D. Copeland of Memphis and Sam Copeland of Blytheville; two sisters; Mrs. Mary Phelan of Lake Charles, LA. and Mrs. Adeline Trotter of Blytheville. And three grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Alvis Carpenter officiating, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family requests any memorials given to be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive visitors in the funeral home from 7 p. m. to 9 p. m. today
