"I think this is Samuel Marion and Martha Belle Lampkins Kerr's daughter. I found a marriage record for Alice Holland Kerr to Earl Roscoe Davis 2/1/1930. No record of Earl Roscoe Davis even in Iowa where he was from."

"I did find a death record for Earl Roscoe Davis for 8/23/1991 in Riley Co., KS. Don't imagine the marriage to Alice Kerr lasted very long."

"Alice Kerr Dies In Chicago
Miss Alice Kerr, 47, former librarian at the Bloomington high school, and a graduate of Indiana University in 1927, died in Chicago, Tuesday, just six months after the death of her mother, Mrs. Belle Lampkins Kerr.
Miss Kerr, after completing her education in Bloomington attended the Illinois Library school in 1928. She was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority, and was a member of the United Presbyterian church, here.
She was librarian at the University of Chicago, a post which she had held for 15 years, at the time of her death.
The body will arrive Thursday at the Day Funeral home and the funeral services have been set for Friday at 2 p.m., at the Day Chapel, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery.
Survivors include two aunts, Mrs. Robert Patton and Mrs. Pearl Chitwood, both of this city; an uncle, Frank Lampkins also of here, and a number of cousins.
Miss Kerr’s father was a former Monroe county official and stock buyer.
Friends may call at the Day Chapel after 7 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral services for Alice Kerr, 47, who died Tuesday in Chicago, will be held Friday, at 2 p.m., at the Day Chapel. Rev. Douglas Rae will officiate and burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.
The body will arrive here late today, and will remain at the Day Funeral Home, Friday, until time for the service.
