A Graveside Service for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Anderson Worsham, age 90, of Birmingham, formerly of Anniston, will be at 3 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Highland Cemetery in Anniston. Mr. Tom McLure will officiate. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:30 PM on Sunday at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs.

Mrs. Worsham passed away on September 17, 2013. Mrs. Worsham was a native of Ft. Dodge, Iowa. She honorably served her country in World War II as a member of the United States Navy. It was during her time in the Navy that she met her future husband, Dr. Floyd Worsham. They moved to Anniston from Troy, AL. She was a member of LeGrand Avenue Church of Christ, the Sun and Sod Garden Club, the Chautauqua Study Club. After moving to Birmingham, she became of the 20th Century Study Club. She served in the auxiliary as a Pink Lady at both Stringfellow Memorial Hospital and NE Alabama Regional Medical Center prior to moving to Birmingham.

Mrs. Worsham is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Floyd Leslie Worsham, Jr.; a granddaughter, Lisa Nicole Williamon; and a great grandson, Carson Luke Jones.

Mrs. Worsham is survived by her daughters, Mary Worsham McKellar and her husband, George, of Raleigh, NC, Jane Worsham Williamon, of Birmingham, and Leslie Worsham Donald and her husband, Henry, of Birmingham; a son, Timothy Earl Worsham, of Panama City, FL; a sister, Evelyn Anderson Dowd, of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
