Elizabeth A. Cox, a lifetime area resident, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty, NY. She was 95 years of age.
Elizabeth was born on March 24, 1916 in North Branch, NY to the late Edward and Nellie Metzer Baurenfiend.
She was a member of Church on the Rock in Jeffersonville, NY.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Cox and his wife, Joanne of Illinois, Robert Cox of Liberty and Richard Cox and his wife, Donna of California; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, John Wells; a brother and two sisters.
Visiting hours will be today, Wednesday, May 4 from 7-9 p.m. at Ramsay’s Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5 at 1 p.m. at Ramsay’s Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery immediately following the services.
