Nellie May Ahalt, 87, of Jefferson, MD, peacefully passed away September 14, 2013 at Grenich Care in Inwood, West Virginia. She was born November 21, 1925 in Adamstown, Maryland.

She was the wife of the late Emory L. Ahalt, to whom she was married 54 years. Daughter of the late Marion and Della Whitter, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Marion and Charles, and sister, Helen.

Nellie was a graduate of Middletown High School and a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown. She retired from the Frederick County Board of Education as a Special Ed School Master bus driver.

Nellie is survived by two sisters-in-law, Mary Ramsburg Ahalt and Ardella Whitter; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and a great-great niece and great-great nephew.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Christ Reformed Cemetery in Middletown, Maryland conducted by Pastor Cris Frigm.
