Steve was born July 1, 1951, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was a brick and block mason. He enjoyed fishing, family gatherings, anything the grandkids were into, as well as sharing and showing people the love of God, every chance he got. Steve attended First Assembly of God Church in Haskell. He proudly served his Country in the Navy.
Steve is preceeded in death by his parents, Steve and Louise (Adair) Carey, and one sister, Linda Woodward.
Steve is survived by: his wife, Bonnie and four sons; Steve Carey III (Hulbert), JR Carey (Haskell), Riley Carey (Haskell), and JD Carey (Haskell), and one daughter, Kristie Stark (Haskell); Five Grandchildren: Jacob Stark, Trace Stark, Addison Carey, Mercy Stark, and Aiden Carey. Eight brothers; Leon Carey, Roy Carey, Gary Carey, Jack Carey, Randy Carey, Darrell Carey, Floyd Carey, and Phillip Carey. Three sisters; Anita Potts, Louanna Bruce, and Victoria Sissom.
Memorial services will be held at First Assembly of God in Haskell, Oklahoma on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. Arrangements are through Dowdy Funeral Home in Haskell, Oklahoma.
