Mrs. Arnold is survived by sons Jack (Lise), of Hurley, N.Y., Craig (Sarah), of Summit, N.J., David (Meleah), of Conway, Ark., and Jim, of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Peter, Daniel, David Jr. and Taylor; and one nephew, Gary (Sylvia) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, Hans and Minnie Johnson; and brothers, Clifford and Russell Johnson; and sisters-in-law, Elnora and Ceil.
Prior to the birth of four sons, Lovelle was devoted to secretarial positions in Minnesota, Alaska and Japan. While living in Tokyo, she was personal secretary to Jean MacArthur, wife of General Douglas MacArthur, during the occupation of Japan following World War II.
While living in Brainerd, Mrs. Arnold was an active member of First Congregational Church as well as Brainerd Service League and St. Joseph's Medical Center auxiliary. Her memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Delray Beach with burial in the church Memorial Garden. Memorials in her honor may be given to First Congregational Church of Brainerd, Minn.
