Charlie Frank Fairchild is the infant son of Archie Bell and Bessie Ila Dancy Fairchild. Charlie is the youngest of five children and the forth son. His sibling are Earl Edwin Fairchild, Robert Paul Fairchild, James Stewart Fairchild and Virginia Dare Fairchild. When he had just turned 8 months old Charlie caught a very bad cold that turned into pneumonia in a matter of days. In spite of everything that his parents and the doctor did for Charlie he was to weak to fight the pneumonia and died four days later. The lost of their baby boy was very hard on his parents and his brothers and sister. Charlie was named after his grandfather Charlie Hampton Dancy.
Charlie was originally buried in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery and was moved to Davis Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in 1964 after his mother passed away and was buried there. He is buried next to his parents and other Fairchild Family Members.
