He had lived in the Divernon community since early last spring and previously had farmed near Illiopolis.
He was a member of the Copeland church at Mt. Pulaski.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; four sons, Lester, U.S. army at Little Rock, Ark.; Arthur, jr., of Virden; and Ennis and Harland, both at home; two daughters, Mrs. Alberta Sagle, of Williamsville; and Ethel, at home. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Lillie Boggs, of Rochester; and two sisters, Mrs. Otto Green, of Pleasant Plains; and Mrs. Fred Morman, of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to Bisch Memorial home where funeral services were held.
Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.
