EDWARD C. BROADWATER

Edward Cleveland Broadwater, 84, Frostburg, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.

Born Nov. 12, 1920, in Garrett County, he was a son of the late Harmon Grover Broadwater and Harriett Catherine (Bittinger) Broadwater. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth (McGee) Broadwater, Dec. 10, 2003; two brothers, Howard Broadwater and Herbert Broadwater; and five sisters, Minnie Broadwater, Dorothy Sutherland, Nellie Llewellyn, Edith Long, and Flossie Beeman.

He was a member of George's Creek Brethren Church, Lonaconing. He was a former cab owner and driver in Glen Bernie. He was also a Navy veteran in World War II.

Surviving are six sisters, Theresa Broadwater, Mill Run, Westernport, Lilly Broadwater, Westernport, Della Beeman, Lions Manor Nursing Home, Myrtle Broadwater, York, Pa., Rosetta Yoder, Grantsville, and Thelma Bittinger, Grantsville; and two brothers, Grover Broadwater, LaVale, and Robert Broadwater, Lonaconing.

Friends were received at Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing, where a service was held on Monday, Jan. 3, with the Rev. Homer Beeman officiating.

Interment was in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
