He leaves behind his loving mother Sadie Acevedo of Raton, his beautiful daughter Kristin Leigh Acevedo and two wonderful sons, Frank Acevedo Jr. and Richie Acevedo. He is survived by his grandmother Mela Tapia, grandfather Joe Acevedo Sr., brother Joe Acevedo III, sister Debbie Lucero and husband. Sadly missed by many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Frank was born Oct. 31, 1965, and was a member of St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He loved every beautiful moment of the outdoors and wildlife, enjoyed hunting, motorcycling and spending valuable, quality time with close friends and family. Frank was a wonderful, loving person and was befriended by many. He had a wonderful smile and a great personality and was able to put a smile on everyone’s face he encountered, and always managed to leave laughter in our hearts.
A Rosary Devotional Service will take place Thursday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton with Rev. Father Daniel Balizan as the celebrant. Rite of Committal and interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
