ESTATE SETTLEMENT
Isaac died intestate in June, 1847. The following motion is included in the minutes of the June Term, 1847, of the Common Pleas Court of Guernsey County, Ohio, and recorded in the Common Pleas Court Journal, 1846-1848, Volume N, page 301, Guernsey County, Ohio: On motion, the Court grant unto Robert Whitaker [son-in-law of Isaac Wimer] administration of all and singular the goods and chattels, rights, credits, moneys and effects of Isaac Wymer, late of Guernsey County, Ohio, deceased (the persons having the right to administer declining). Bond in $1,600. The Court approves of William St. Clair & James Dougherty securities, and appoint William Crow, Benjamin Marliner & William Irwin appraisers of property. Ordered that letters of administration, etc. issue to the said Robert Whitaker accordingly.
The following is in the Administrators & Executors Docket, Volume C, 1846-1857, Page 61, of Guernsey County, Ohio, obtained from microfilm No. 894959 in the Family History Library, Salt Lake City, Utah:
ISAAC WYMER ESTATE, Case 160
At June term 1847 at page 301, administration, etc. granted onto Robert Whitaker (the person having a right to administer having declined). Bond is $1,600. The court approved of William St. Clair and James Dougherty as security and appoint William Crow, Benjamin Marliner and William Irvin as appraisers. Bond filed June 16, 1847.

Issac may be listed in 1840 Spencer, Gurensey County, OH Census as "Wismer" w 10 people in the household?!; there are also Joseph and Jacob 'Wismer' on the same page with Issac; also Wm C. Bay, Jane Bay, Archibald Bay and Thos Ross listed in the same Census on the same page with Issac, Unfortunately in the 1840 Census only the 'head of household' is named on the document.
