Son of Justus Seelye (1771-1832) and Elizabeth "Betsy" Fuller Seelye (1772-1851).

Husband of Martha Moon (1799-1868). The cemetery records list his wife as Mattie/Martha Seelye, but the birth and death dates are for that of his granddaughter, Mattie Seelye, who is also buried in this cemetery. Likely an error.

Also, the cemetery records note that he was "removed from cemetery east of Springboro."

War of 1812 veteran. 121 Reg't (Stewart's), New York Militia.
