Dorothy Yancey Carroll, 82, of Marietta, died Monday, March 27, 2006. Service will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Sandy Plains Baptist Church with Rev. Cliff Duvall and Rev. Dr. Gary Nunn officiating. Interment will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park.
Mrs. Carroll was a lifelong resident of Marietta. She was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church and a member of the Women's Missionary Union. Mrs. Carroll is survived by three daughters, Marsha Flanigan (Richard) of Athens, TN, Pat Young (Greg) of Acworth, Gail Johnson of Blue Ridge; five sons, Jim Carroll (Melanie) of Marietta, David Carroll (Sheila) of Marietta, Tom Carroll (Sylvia) of Blue Ridge, Steve Carroll (Kathy) of Acworth, Rev. Dr. Jeff Straub (Becky) of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Frances Price of Marietta; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Howard of Marietta; twenty-six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall M. Carroll and grandson, Michael Flanigan.
