Mary Stock moved to the United States with her father John Stock who was a Cobbler. They settled in Chicago IL where her father found work.

After meeting James Oleskevich, the two were married and moved to Colorado. Mary and her husband James had 10 children, 7 of which survived infancy.

After retirement the two moved to Denver CO where they watched their grandchildren grow up.
