16 Apr 1910: Percy D. Rand shows on this census as being married for 1 year to Laura. (This gives the marriage year as 1909). There are no children at this time.

12 Sep 1918: World War I Draft Registration shows Percy living at the same address. Only now there is a wifes name as Laura Hipkins Rand. He is a clerk for the Crucible Steel Company of America.

7 Jan 1920: 1920 Census shows Percy D. Rand living at the same address with his wife Laura J. and sons Stewart D., Robert H., Richard J. and John H. (who was 3 months old).

5 Apr 1930 Census shows Percy D. Rand living at 1464 Greenmount Avenue in Dormont, Allegheny, Pennsylvania. The census shows that he was married but the wife is not listed. He would have been married abt 1910. However, his sons Stewart, Robert and Richard are. The census shows that he is employed as a paymaster for the Steel Mill. The 1930 census shows that Percy, Stewart, Robert and Richard were all born in Pennsylvania.(14 Apr 1930 - [same census but in Venango County we find John H. Rand who is now 10 years old, living in the Polk State School {for the feeble minded}]

27 April 1942: World War II Draft Registration shows Percy living at the same address. The next of kin that he lists is his son Robert H. Rand. It also gives his middle name. This record shows that he was employed at the Crucible Steel Company of America on Smallman Street in Pittsburgh. Percy is described as being 5'2", 155 pounds, blue eyes and gray hair. He registered for the draft in Wilkes-Barre on 27 April 1942.

8 Aug 1953: Percy leaves Le Harve, France on his way back home and arrives in New York on 15 Aug 1953 on the ship SS Nieuw Amsterdam.

9 Feb 1957: Percy had gone to Valparaiso, Chili and was arriving into New York on this date on the ship named Santa Isabel
