MRS. EMMA KEYSER DIED ON TUESDAY
WAS RESIDENT OF JACKSONVILLE SECTION
Mrs. Emma Olevia Keyser, well known and highly respected matron of this community, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Watson, in the Jacksonville section, early Tuesday morning. She had passed her 73rd birthday.
Mrs. Keyser was suffering from a heart condition and had been ill only a few days.
Born near Crisfield, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Nancy Daugherty Tawes, and was the widow of the late William Keyser, a waterman.
Mrs. Keyser was a kindly lady, a good neighbor and friend, who was quick to help in times of trouble and distress, and she had made many warm friends who appreciated her fine qualities and held her in deep affection and regard.
She had for years been a member and staunch supporter of Mariners Methodist Church, taking an active part in its affairs.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in Mariners Methodist Church, with the pastor, Rev. John R. Diehl, and Rev. E.E. Garland, pastor of the Baptist Temple officiating. Interment was in the family plot in the Crisfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Keyser is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Albert Watson, Mrs. Grayson Coulbourne, Mrs. Henry Riggin, and Mrs. Wilson Sterling, all of Crisfield, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
