Mrs. Margaret Alford Johnson of Axis [Mobile Co.], AL, died Feb. 2, 2000. Mrs. Johnson, a native of Bowdon [Carroll Co.], GA, was born Jan. 7, 1928, daughter of the late Perry C. and Myrtic Barnes Alford. She also was preceded in death by a brother, P.C. Alford, Jr.

She was retired from International Papers as an executive secretary.

Survivors include her husband, Wesley Allen Johnson of Axis; a brother, Wayne B. Alford of Bowdon; and sisters, Mary Nell Powers of Carrollton, GA, and Betty Jane Landers of Bowdon.

Services were held at Radney Funeral Home [Saraland, Mobile Co., AL] on Saturday, Feb. 5, with interment in Creola Cemetery....
