Penelope was born in Edwardsville, IL on 01 Sep 1850 the youngest of 4 children born to James Harvey and Mary Ann Sanders. She married George Washington Creed in 1869 in Lebanon, IL where she spent over 60 years of her life. She and George had 6 children: Ella, Laura, May, Alice, Georgia and William. All but Ella survived her. Penelope passed away at her home in Lebanon.
