Donald E. "Donnie" Tackett, 38, of Lima and formerly of Alger, died on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000 at 12:43 a.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. He was born Aug. 21, 1962 in Lima to Mary Louise Tackett and she survives in Celina. Tackett worked in various restaurants in the Lima area. Also surviving are an aunt, Bea (Edd) Howard of Alger and an uncle, Howard (Barbara) Tackett of Ft. Myers, Fla. Services were held on Jan. 2 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger. The Rev. James C. Leach officiated. Burial was in Preston Cemetery, Alger. Memorials may be given to the family.
