Dr. William G. Kramer, 81, of Bowling Green, died Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. Dr. Kramer was born on September 15, 1923 in Archbold, Ohio to the late George and Marjorie (Ruffer) Kramer. On November 24, 1944 he married Elizabeth Anne Rychner and she survives. Dr. Kramer served in the Army Air Corp as a B-24 pilot during WWII. He was a graduate of Bowling Green State University and The Ohio State University. Dr. Kramer retired from his dental practice in 1999 after 45 years of service. He was the team dentist for the BGSU football and hockey team for many years and was named as an "Honorary Letterman" by the Varsity BG Club in 2000. He also was the President of the Falcon Club from 1975 -- 1977. Dr. Kramer was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the American Dental Assoc., and the Toledo Dental Society, a life member of the BG Elks Club, and a former member of the Bowling Green Rotary and Exchange Club. He also was known as the "Guru of river Walleye fishing" on the Maumee. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Robert (Pamela) Kramer of Hudson, MI and Joseph (Stephanie) Kramer of Findlay; granddaughter, Amber Kramer of Findlay; grandson, A.J. Kramer of Bowling Green. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Kramer. A private family service will be held in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, 218 E. Wooster St. Bowling Green, 419-352-2171. Burial will be on the family plot in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Bowling Green, on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 11:00AM. The family suggest memorials to the BGSU Hockey Memorial Fund, or a charity of the donor's choice. www.hannemanfh.com
