Max was born to William George and Geneva James Austin.. He was raised in Logan and graduated from Logan High School in 1944. He joined the Marines at the age of 17, serving in the South Pacific on Saipan, Okinawa and Japan for 1944 - 1946. When her returned home he married Wanda Marie Hansen on December 19, 1946 Their marriage was later sealed for all time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Max was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many church callings: Elder Quorum President, Ward Clerk and Stake Executive Secretary. For 30 years he worked for Stewart Warner Corporation as Service Manager, Office Manager, Salesman and General Manager. He greatly loved his Country, his church and most people. He is survived by his wife and three sons, Michael, Rao and Gary., 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were held on August 25, 2005 at the Bountiful 37th Ward Chapel.
