Harry B. Barnes Sr., 78, of Butler passed away Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Brady Township, Jan. 26, 1933, to Braden Everett Barnes and Florence Ethel Stevenson Barnes.
He worked in and retired from the timber industry.
He was U.S. Army Airborne veteran and served in the Korean War, where he received a Purple Heart.
Surviving are three sons; the Pringle family with whom he made his home; a sister; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a grandson.
BARNES - Services for Harry B. Barnes Sr., who died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, were at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Plain Grove Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in the South Plain Grove Cemetery. (Incorrect)
