Esther May was baptized on September 4, 1887 at 140 Myrtle Street by Nelson E. Porter of the Cook Street Methodist Church in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

Esther was only 5 years old when her father was struck and killed by a horse drawn wagon (Dodd's Express) at the foot of Fulton Street in Brooklyn.

She lived at 227 Sumpter Street in Brooklyn with her step father and mother in 1910 according to the Federal Census.

Esther married James A. Casey on September 20th, 1916 in Brooklyn, NY.

In 1940 Esther lived at 8636 241st Street in Bellerose, Queens before moving to Plainfield, NJ sometime in the late 1950's.

She is buried in the grave of her grandfather Henry Mannering Clackett along with her husband James Casey.

Her stone was below grade when found in the summer of 2014 during the restoration of her grandfather's marble headstone at the same plot.
