Dr. John T. Polhemus, age 83, of Englewood, Colorado, passed away on the evening of 21 May 2013. John worked for many years at Martin Marietta as an electrical engineer, and was also a world-renowned scientist who specialized on the classification and identification of aquatic insects. Over the course of his scientific career he published 270 scientific papers, including several books, and conducted field work in 67 foreign countries. He is survived by his wife Irma, sons Dan and John, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Arrangements for Memorial Services are pending.
