MRS. JULIET AINSWORTH
Monday evening at ten o'clock, after a long illness, Mrs. Juliet Ainsworth passed peacefully into the long sleep, "from which no mortal wakes to weep". Mrs. Ainsworth was born in the town of Orwell, July 9, 1841, making her nearly seventy-five years of age. She was the daughter of Ira A. and Julia West. When sixteen years of age she came to Sandy Creek to reside. At the age of twenty-one, she was united in marriage with William Widrig who died thirty-four years ago, leaving one daughter Julia, who is the wife of Postmaster Gilson D. Wart, and who has been her mother's constant companion and cared for her with loving devotion through her declining years, Thirty-two years ago she was married to Henry Ainsworth who died eighteen years ago.

Mrs. Ainsworth was loved and esteemed by a large circle of friends. She was a member of the Methodist church and A. J. Barney Relief Corps. Besides her daughter and two grandsons, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Celia Seamans, of Pulaski, and one brother, William West, of this village.

Her funeral was held from the home, this afternoon, at three o'clock, Rev. W. M. Hydon, of Gouverneur, N. Y., officiating, assisted by Rev. T. T. Davies. Burial in Sandy Creek cemetery.

Friends were present from Rome, Pulaski and Orwell.
