Mary was born in Posen, Germany. She lived in Wirsitz, Poland, arrived in America in December of 1899. Mary spoke German and did not speak English.

Mary and Wojciech (Albert, George) Maciejewski were married in 1901. Together they raised nine children: Teddy, Chester, Mary, Frances, Johnny, Frankie, Hattie, Pearl and Kay at 84 Cable Street, Buffalo, New York USA. The neighborhood was known as 'Kaisertown'.

Mary died of a stroke in 1947.
