Virginia Beach- Margaret Spence "Mama" Harris, 84, was granted her angel wings Saturday, August 24th , 2013.

She was born August 26th, 1928 in Princess Anne County to the late Clifton and Lorraine Spence.

Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Mama had touched in some small way throughout her very memorable life. She was the kindest person we ever knew. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.

Margaret loved life in the country. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her sons most of all. She will be forever missed and will always remain in our hearts. We were all blessed to have such a caring and devoted mother/grandmother in our lives.

She is survived by two sons James E. Harris, Jr and wife Jill; Ronnie Lee Harris and wife Beverly; three sisters Marjorie Hickey, Lillian Delores Waterfield, Amanda Lee Calabrese; six grandchildren Linda Sue Harris, Amanda and husband Shawn Allen, Brian Harris and wife Patricia, Katie and husband David Lortscher, James E. Harris III and wife Sherri, John Tyler Harris and wife Megan. And seven great-grandchildren, Shawn Jr, Madison, Wyatt, Aiden, Hailey, Elizabeth and Brook. Numerous extended family, friends and her beloved poodle, Mokie.
