George W. Alexander Dies;
Dies at Home South of Mulberry;
Buried at Little Osage
George W. Alexander, 81, died early last Saturday morning at his home south of Mulberry after a short illness. Mr. Alexander was born April 18, 1857. He had resided on the present farm for twenty-seven years, coming here from Illinois. Mr. Alexander was a member of the United Brethren church here. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Alice Alexander; ten daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Pottorff of near here, Mrs. Florence Joseph of Pittsburg, Mrs. R. McPheron of Frontenac, Mrs. H.F. McPheron of Frontenac, Mrs. Viola Walker of Weir, Mrs. Velma Lupfer of St. Louis, Mrs. Edna Lowe of Mulberry, Mrs. Gertrude Hannum of Corning, Kas, Mrs. Lula Claunch of Mulberry, and Mrs. Carl Palmer of Mulberry; two sons, Carl Alexander of Mulberry and Paul Alexander of Pleasonton; thirty-two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home with Rev. Dan Neher in charge. Second services were held at 3 o'clock Monday in the Little Osage Church (Osage Church of the Brethren) fourteen miles west of Pittsburg.
