Doris Mabel Andre, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, August 24, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.
She was born June 17, 1930 in Elmhurst, New York, the daughter of Victor Emanuel and Mabel E. (Hicks) Olson. Doris married Keith Lyn Andre October 17, 1953 in Woodside, New York. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Doris was a secretary for many years, retiring from Orchard Hill Church, and was very dedicated to her work. She was also an Avon representative for many years and was much loved by her customers.
She is survived by one son, Keith L. (Diane) Andre, of Buxton, North Carolina; three daughters, Sherryl (George) Dombeck, of Elizabeth, Illinois, Deborrah (Steve) Pagel, of Tolono, Illinois, and Allison (Dennis) Curtis, of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and one brother, Richard (Camille) Olson, of Long Island, New York.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Joan Walter.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Orchard Hill Church in Cedar Falls. Inurnment will be in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Illinois. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before service at the church.
