Brenda Jarrells Fannin Adkins age 70 of Grayson, Kentucky passed away Saturday morning, August 24, 2013 at Elliott Nursing & Rehab in Sandy Hook. She was born October 28, 1942 in Elliott County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Ora and Goldie Gilliam Jarrells. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Fannin; one daughter, Vicki Lynn Fannin; one son, Jeffrey Alan Fannin. Brenda was a Christian and attended Community Church on Huff Run. She was a former employee at Family Dollar Distribution. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Ronnie Adkins of Grayson, Kentucky; three daughters and son-in-laws, Kathy and Woodrow Mason of Ackworth, Georgia, Deana and Kenneth Crumby of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Nancy and Steven Cannon of Stockbridge, Georgia; three brothers and sister-in-laws, Roger and Linda Jarrells of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Mitchell and Kimberly Jarrells of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Eddie Jarrells of St Cloud, Florida; seven sisters and brother-in-laws, Janice Shearer of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Elaine and Jimmie Kirk of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Gladys and Larry Rowley of Russell Springs, Kentucky, Dinah and Mike Benedict of Woodstock, Illinois, Peggy Jarrells of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dawn Ligakos of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Sue and Jim Moye of Rockford, Illinois; eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in the Chapel of Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home with Brother Phillip Fannin. Burial will follow in the Jarrells Family Cemetery in Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday until the service hour at the funeral home.
