Edward E. Greenawalt, 73, of 614 Ferne Drive, Kittanning died Wednesday, March 30, 1988 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born July 14, 1914 in Lawsonham to Ervin J. and Violet (Blair) Greenawalt. He was a member of the New Life Center Assembly of God Church in Ford City and the Gideon Society. He was a carpenter and member of Carpenter’s Union Local 333. Surviving are his wife, Muriel (Sherman) Greenawalt, whom he married in 1936; two daughters, Mrs. Bennie (Lila) Harper of Ft. Worth, Texas and Jean Hepler of Kittanning RD3; two brother, Ray of Camp Coral, Fla. And Joseph of Ashtabula, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Chester (Alma) Choncek of Kittanning, Mrs. Donald (Virginia) Minich of New Bethlehem and Mrs. Hilton (Jeanette) Klepher of Mayport; either grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Helen Miller in 1972 and Sandra Freeman in 1984; and one son, Mile in 1985. GREENAWALT – Friends of Edward E. Greenawalt, 73, of 614 Ferne Drive, Kittanning, who died Wednesday, March 30, 1988, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the New Life Center, Ford City, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Paul Drost officiating. Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Snyder-Crissman.
