Lawless A. "Lois" Bombek, 79, of Colmesneil, Texas, passed away Nov. 13, 2003 at The Dogwood Trails Manor Nursing Home in Woodville. Born July 3, 1924 to Robert E. and Ruby Allen Slaughter, she lived in Tyler County for many years. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Wilson and husband, Darrell of Colmesneil; brother, R. E. Slaughter of Mauriceville; grandson, John Savant and wife, Lynda of Warren; granddaughter, Jessica Landry and husband, T. J. Stutes of Groves and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held Monday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. at the Colmesneil City Cemetery with Bro. Durham officiating. Visitation was held Sunday evening at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville. Funeral services were under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County Published in the Tyler County Booster
