April 12, 1932 - August 19, 2013

Opal Kathleen Adams- age 81 of Knoxville went to be with her Lord on Monday August 19, 2013 at Island Home Health and Rehab. She was a member of Ramsey Heights Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband David Lee Adams, parents Sam and Trula Black, sisters Juanita Kitts and Louise Munsey. She is survived by her daughter Bea Banks and husband Dale, grandchildren; Chris Banks and Lori Banks, sisters; Margie Leonard and Ruby Messer, several nieces and nephews, special friends Cindy and Annemarie Winterberger. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Dean Mire and the staff at Island Home Health and Rehab. Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 pm Thursday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Terry McCloud and Reverend Jeremy Ruth officiating. Family and friends will meet at Asbury Cemetery at 10:45 am Friday for Graveside Services at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 pm Thursday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
