Cheryl Floyd, age 66 of Murfreesboro died Monday August 19, 2013 at her home. She was a native Baltimore,Maryland. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Floyd, Jr. and her parents Irvin Napier and Mae Napier. Mrs. Floyd had attended Lighthouse Baptist Church and worked in MTSU History Department.
Mrs. Floyd is survived by her daughters, Shawnda Michele Gossage and husband Greg of Lascassas, Shannon Marie Floyd of Murfreesboro; granddaughters, Abigail Gossage of Murfreesboro, Katherine Perry and husband Dylan of Adana,Turkey; extended family, Brandon Beasley of Hawaii, Michael Svarda of Murfreesboro, Jasen Richardson of Shelbyville.
Funeral service will be 1:00PM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother Charles Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel www.woodfinchapel.com
